World Book Day 2020: More of Manchester's best costume creations

It's World Book Day and once again Manchester's parents have done their children proud.

We asked readers to send in their creations for the big event and hundreds of you obliged.

Children have been dressing as their favourite book characters for playgroups, nurseries and schools and we've seen some fabulous creations today.

From Roald Dahl favourites such as The BFG and Violet Beauregarde, to Gangsta Grannies and Grinches, we've seen them all.

We've had some wonderful Peter Pan and his shadow creations, including this one from Frankie Sampson and Cody Sampson.

And we've had a few Captain Jack Sparrows too, including this from nine-year-old Alfie Hibbert, who dressed as the pirate for St Willibrords RC Primary School in Clayton.

We've already shared one huge gallery of images today and here are two more.

And if you have a photo to share then post it in the comments on our Manchester Family Facebook page here.

Tell us what character your child has dressed as and, if you're happy to share the information, then don't forget to tell us where your child is from and the name of their nursery or school.
