Worksop sandwich factory taking on 200 new recruits as demand increases

A food manufacturer in Nottinghamshire is looking to recruit 200 new employees as the company experiences increased demand.

Greencore's Manton Wood site near Worksop makes convenience food for supermarkets and the the foodservice sectors.

The factory specialises in sandwiches and as lockdown restrictions ease and customers are looking for more food options while on the move, demand has increased.

The company is looking to hire 200 people to help address the increase.

Roles are available with flexible hours on a permanent basis and Greencore says it offers a competitive salary as well as benefits.

There is a wide variety of positions including hygiene operatives, machine operatives and financial accountants.

A statement from Greencore read: “As we exit lockdown and move into the warmer summer months, we are seeing increased demand for food to go products, including sandwiches.

"This is leading to an overall increase in demand, which is of course very welcome – and it also means that we now are recruiting for 200 new roles at our sandwich manufacturing site in Manton Wood.

"This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and we offer some fantastic colleague benefits, as well as flexible working hours to suit people’s work-life balance. Anyone interested in applying can contact 07855518466 or recruitment.manton@greencore.com
