Five people have been injured after a roof collapsed at a building in Windsor on Thursday morning.
Emergency services responded to reports that two men were trapped under rubble at a house in Springfield Road, a mile from Windsor castle.
One of them was left with serious injuries and was taken to a major trauma unit at a hospital in Oxford.
The other, who received less severe injuries, is being treated at a local hospital.
Three other people were treated for minor injuries at the property.
A spokesperson for the Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue Service said: ”Crews from Slough and Maidenhead were sent to the scene, alongside the Heavy Rescue Unit from Dee Road and are being supported by crews from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and London Fire Brigade.”
“Upon arrival, crews found that the roof of a building had collapsed. Four people have been placed in the care of South Central Ambulance Service and teams remain on the scene,” they added.
Springfield Road is closed, according to a tweet by Thames Valley Police Windsor.
Karen Davies, a local Liberal Democrat councillor, confirmed that there was “no further danger” but urged people to keep away from the area.
“Please avoid Springfield Road and let the emergency services carry out their work,” she tweeted.
