A worker has died after the weed-spraying buggy he was driving rolled at a farm west of Melbourne.

The weed spraying contractor and passenger were both ejected when the side-by-side vehicle tipped as it drove up a steep hill at the She Oaks farm on Wednesday afternoon.

The driver, a 55-year-old man, suffered fatal head injuries and the other worker was seriously injured.

WorkSafe is investigating his death, it confirmed on Thursday.
