Worker dies at Scots Royal Mail depot as cops probe sudden death

A worker has dropped down dead at a Scots Royal Mail sorting depot.

Police and paramedics raced to Garrison Place in the Falkirk at around 3pm yesterday afternoon.

A 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death is not yet known but police believe there to be no suspicious circumstances.

Paramedics wearing orange hazard suits were seen going into the building.

Cops remained at the scene until late last night.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 3pm on Friday, 27 November, 2020, police were called to a report of the sudden death of a 52 year old man within a building in Garrison Place, Falkirk.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
