Worker at Jaguar Land Rover site is found dead by his colleagues

The body of an agency worker was discovered by his horrified colleagues at the Jaguar Land Rover factory this morning.

Emergency services were alerted to the death at the Halewood, Liverpool factory this morning.

According to staff Merseyside Police officers and paramedics arrived at the scene quickly, Liverpool Echo reported.

It is thought that the man worked for DHL, which is contracted to provide services to the site.

A spokeswoman for Jaguar said: "We can confirm there was a serious incident at our Halewood site this morning involving the death of an agency colleague.

"The incident is now being investigated by Merseyside Police.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with the family of our colleague at this time.

"We will be working closely with DHL to ensure we provide full support to employees affected by the incident."

It is not currently known how the man lost his life.
