Work well underway on £30m riverside homes between Nottingham's two football stadiums

Work is well underway on a £30m project to build almost 100 riverside homes on land situated between the city's two football clubs.

Trent Bridge Quays will deliver 95 townhouses and apartments on the banks of the River Trent, behind Notts County's Meadow Lane stadium.

A large structure has already been put up after work started in July, being carried out by contractor ncmn.

Property bosses say nine of the 38 apartments have already been reserved and the project is on track to be ready for October 2020.

Once complete, Trent Bridge Quays will include a range of apartments and three-storey townhouses, all with terraces either to the front or back.

Prices start from £160,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and from £345,000 for the townhouses.

The development, led by the Elevate Property Group and Investin plc, will also include a three-bedroom penthouse with a rooftop garden and views across Nottingham and of the River Trent.

Estate agent FHP is marketing the properties.

Meanwhile, plans were submitted this month to the council for the second phase of the build.

A further 58 apartments and townhouses are planned on the former Muller Yard, Meadow Lane, nearby.

It is hoped work will start on the second phase once the first is out the way, with a completion date planned for the end of 2021.

David Hofton, sales and marketing director at Elevate, said Trent Bridge Quays was proving a catalyst to start the western end of the waterside regeneration.

He added the development would provide some of the best new homes available in Nottingham in the coming 12 months.

Steve Parker, director of FHP Living, said: “Trent Bridge Quays and the neighbouring Muller Yard are bringing much-needed quality housing to Nottingham.

"Their proximity to West Bridgford and Trent Bridge, combined with easy access to the city centre, makes a very compelling offer.”

Giles Brockbank, partner at planning consultants Ridge & Partners, said he hoped for "a favourable decision before the end of the year" on the plans for the second phase of the project.
