Work is underway to build nearly 50 homes in Colwick.
Boards have been placed around the site in Vale Road where 44 homes are expected to be constructed.
The site comprises two parcels of land, the first fronting Vale Road which contained a two-storey office building, near the Vale Social Club.
The second plot has been described as an undeveloped storage yard.
A planning application submitted to Gedling Borough Council to demolish offices and build 44 homes was approved in 2008.
The applicant was listed in as SOL Homes.
