Work to restart on Bonhill nursery after construction firm's liquidation

Work will restart on a new nursery and community centre in Old Bonhill which was thrown into jeopardy when a construction firm went into liquidation.

The council’s in-house builders will complete the Dalmonach facilty.

Councillor Ian Dickson asked for an update at an education committee meeting last week.

Teachers "lucky" if half of West Dunbartonshire pupils completed online learning

Michelle Lynn, assets co-ordinator, said: “Building services are going to take on the last five percent on this site.

“We need to get Dalmonach to completion rather than have to go back out to tender again.

“We’re hoping that will be in the next couple of weeks.”

In March, the council told the Lennox Herald that the local authority would finish outstanding road works outside the building.
