Work is set to begin on building a new block of flats and a restaurant on a gap site in Battlefield.
Two years after planning permission was granted, work on the 14-apartment block and commercial unit on Sinclair Drive is ready to start.
Adrian Higson Architecture have remodelled the design to give more privacy for the adjacent nursery.
Other changes also include reducing the height by one storey and removing a balcony.
Developers described the street as 'a lively, vibrant cosmopolitan feel with the immediate area hosting many shops, cafes and restaurants' in their planning statement.
In keeping with the area, the building will be natural red sandstone with grey/black brick to the rear.
Work on building the block will resume in September.
