Building work has started on a development of hundreds of Yate homes – and the first are set to go on sale soon.
Developer Bellway is behind an estate which will include 247 homes north of Brinsham Fields park. The first of those are expected to be released for sale in May.
It forms part of Ladden Garden Village, a planned neighbourhood of 2,450 homes, a primary school, nursery, shops, allotments, sports pitches, play areas and office space on 100 hectares of land.
Bellway is building a range of one, two, three and four-bedroom houses and apartments, with three showhomes set to open in the summer.
The Bellway estate will include 86 affordable properties available through shared ownership or rent.
Ladden Garden Village received planning permission in 2015. Bellway's plans for its section of the village were approved last July.

Bellway South West sales manager Rachel Way said: “Work is now well underway at Ladden Garden Village and we are planning to release the first homes for sale in May.
