A new multi-mullion cosmetic surgery hospital is to open in West Lothian.

The company behind the project, Cosmedicare, were granted permission by West Lothian Council to create the new medical facility.

Work will begin next month on the new St Ellen’s Hospital and it will be housed in a 12,443 square feet building on the Kirkton Campus.

The building has previously been used by the likes of Glenmorangie and BskyB in past years.

Significant refurbishment work will be undertaken at the premises.

The new clinic will feature two theatres, with private en-suite recovery rooms and recovery wards.

Ms Baird who currently runs the business from the Gyle in Edinburgh, said: “These proposals herald a new era of healthcare provision.

“We work with the top surgeons and consultants in the private sector and NHS to deliver the highest standards of medical practice with enhanced technology.”

West Lothian Council confirmed to The Courier that planning permission for St Ellen's Hospital was granted on November 15.

It has yet to be revealed if the opening of the new hospital will create any jobs in West Lothian.

Ms Baird founded Cosmedicare in 2016 and today they offer a full range of face, breast and body procedures from their hospital facilities.
