'Work from home' tops jobseekers' most-searched terms

Flexible working arrangements remain a top priority amid labour market uncertainty, according to Jobsdb.

'Work from home" was the top keyword search term used by Thai jobseekers in the first half of 2026, reflecting the continued importance of workplace flexibility, according to a survey by the recruitment platform Jobsdb by SEEK.

"New graduate" ranked second, highlighting the readiness of fresh graduates preparing to enter the workforce, followed (in order) by "marketing", "HR" and "data analyst".

The findings reflect how today's jobseekers are prioritising work arrangements that support their lifestyles, career paths with long-term growth potential and skills that align with the evolving needs of the labour market, said Duangporn Promon, managing director of Jobsdb Thailand.

"This latest search data shows that, despite continued uncertainty in the labour market, jobseekers remain focused on workplace flexibility and long-term career growth," she said. "Candidates today are looking beyond job titles and actively seeking employers that align with their lifestyles while offering opportunities for continuous learning and career development.

"At the same time, the rise of 'new graduate' to the second most searched keyword reflects the readiness of early-career talent entering the workforce and their desire to begin their careers with organisations that support learning and long-term growth. Together, these findings provide valuable insight into the direction of Thailand's labour market in 2026."

Amid labour market uncertainty, flexible working arrangements remain a top priority. This is reflected in "work from home" rising from second place in the second half of 2025 to top of the table in the first half of 2026.

Competition in the labour market continues to intensify, yet early-career candidates remain proactive in preparing for their careers. Among the top 15 search keywords, three are directly related to first-time jobseekers: "new graduate" (2), "internship" (8) and "fresh graduate" (11). This reflects continued demand for entry-level opportunities that enable candidates to gain practical experience and build relevant skills.

Interest in career functions that play a key role in business growth and digital transformation remain high. Marketing remained among the most searched functions, highlighting its importance in brand building, digital marketing and business growth.

Meanwhile, HR and data analyst careers continued to attract strong interest, reflecting demand for roles focused on talent development, organisational capability and data-driven decision-making as businesses continue to embrace digital transformation.

Taken together, job search trends in the first half of 2026 suggest that Thai jobseekers continue to balance practical work preferences with long-term career ambitions, placing equal importance on workplace flexibility, career development and opportunities to build future-ready skills.

The findings also highlight the growing importance of workforce readiness as candidates seek to remain competitive in an evolving employment landscape.
