Work at the Nottingham McDonald's 'getting ready for another 20 years'

One of Nottinghamshire's most popular McDonald's is getting a makeover to prepare for "20 more years" at the site.

The McDonald's at Trent Bridge is having it's car park resurfaced with fresh tarmac after many years of use from hungry customers.

The popular franchise restaurant has often been busy during Covid lockdowns over the last year with queues building for the drive-thru.

And before Covid the restaurant was often packed with Nottingham Forest and cricket fans heading to the City Ground or Trent Bridge for match days.

Restaurant owner Jerry Nicholls, who runs a number of McDonald's franchises across Nottinghamshire, tweeted: "Getting ready for another 20 years at Trent Bridge. Fresh tarmac for the car park."

Due to Covid restrictions the dine-in area of the 24-hour restaurant is currently closed.

But drive-thru and delivery are both available at the site.
