Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire Live are offering an exciting new role to work as news editor across a huge part of the East Midlands.
Due to the company's sustained growth and future plans, we are now looking for an experienced content editor / news editor to join the team, covering the region of Nottingham, Derby and Lincoln as part of the network of Live brands.
The successful candidate will lead teams of writers in delivering stories which inform, inspire and indulge readers about their local lives. This includes managing content, developing teams and ensuring audience targets are delivered every month.
This role will be part home/ part office based in the company's Nottingham city centre office.
The ideal candidate will have:
- First-class content editing experience
- Strong people management skills - essential to get this job
- Digital publishing skills
- Social media skills
- Passion for digital storytelling in local journalism
- NCTJ or equiv qualification
- Deep knowledge of media law
- Strong local knowledge
- Communication, including written, face-to-face, presentation skills and the ability to cascade consistent messages for maximum impact.
