Woody Allen's memoir details lusty romance with ex Mia Farrow's adopted daughter

Woody Allen's newly released memoir, Apropos of Nothing, goes into explicit detail about his controversial relationship with Soon-Yi Previn.

The now 85-year-old filmmaker began his romance with Soon-Yi - the adopted daughter of his girlfriend Mia Farrow, - when she was 22-year-old.

Addressing the 35-year age gap in his book, Woody says Soon-Yi was "ready to ripen superbly if only someone would show her some love" when they first got together.

His former girlfriend of 13 years Mia previously told how she uncovered the affair between her adopted daughter and Woody when she came across erotic pictures of them together.

Speaking of the scandal in his book, Woody acknowledges Mia was right to be angry at the 'nude' pictures that had been taken in the 'very early stages of the relationship'.

"When lust reigns supreme and we couldn't keep our hands off each other," the Oscar-winner says of Soon-Yi.

He writes he and Soon-Yis' relationship went from two people who 'never particularly liked each other' to them falling 'passionately in love'

"We spent a few afternoons walking and talking, delighting in each other's company and, of course, going to bed," he adds.

The director adds that after more than 20 years of marriage later he and Soon-Yi still feel the same about each other.

Gushing about his wife, Woody describes Soon-Yi as a 'sharp, classy, fabulous young woman; highly intelligent, full of latent potential.'

Recalling the moment Mia found their naked pictures and rumbled their affair, Woody says he could completely understand 'her shock, her dismay, her rage, everything.'

"It was the correct reaction," he adds.

Elsewhere in his book, Woody takes aim at Mia and accuses her of being 'unnaturally obsessed' with their biological son Ronan.

Woody says she slept naked in bed with “prized” son Ronan until he was 11 years-old.

The Oscar-winning director devotes much of memoir Apropos of Nothing, to his turbulent 13-year relationship with the actress.

He also openly talks about Ronan, 32, saying he believes he is his biological son, despite Farrow’s suggestion, he could be the child of her ex-husband Frank Sinatra.

“I think he’s mine, though I’ll never really know,” he writes.

"She (Farrow) may have still been sleeping with Frank, as she hinted, and may have had any number of outside affairs, for all I know."

The director's book ignited backlash before it even hit the shelves after its original publisher, Hachette, cancelled plans to release the book.

Employees walked out in protest and the rights were returned to Alleb.

Arcade Publishing went ahead with the release instead.
