An Adelaide man charged with the murder of Todd Bradmore and seriously injuring two women in an alleged arson attack earlier this month, has appeared in court after being extradited from New South Wales.

Alessandro Cavuoto, 32, is charged with the murder of 31-year-old Todd Bradmore and the serious assault of two women, aged 27 and 28, at Woodville West.

Emergency services were called to a home on Calendar Place just before 4:00am on March 17.

Mr Bradmore was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition and later died.

The fire was contained to the lounge room of the home.

At the time, police said the people involved were known to each other and it was not a random attack.

South Australian Police launched a manhunt following the fire and Mr Cavuoto was arrested after a high-speed pursuit on the Newell Highway, near Parkes in New South Wales.

He was extradited to Adelaide on Friday.

He appeared in Adelaide Magistrates Court via video link this afternoon, sitting silently and without making an application for bail.

Prosecutors asked the court to remand the Woodville West man for 13 months to allow time for a post mortem report and forensic evidence to be gathered and reviewed, including some that had to be retrieved from New South Wales Police.

Magistrate Luke Davis approved the prosecution's request and Mr Cavouto was remanded in custody to face court in April next year.
