Woodstock 50: Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus, Chance the Rapper and the Black Keys among festival headliners

Over 80 acts have been announced to perform over three days at the 50th anniversary celebrations of Woodstock festival.

Miley Cyrus, Jay-Z, the Black Keys, The Killers, Halsey, The Raconteurs, Sturgill Simpson, Chance the Rapper, Imagine Dragons, Cage the Elephant, The Lumineers, Santana and Dead & Company will all headline.

Robert Plant, Run the Jewels, Courtney Barnett, Portugal. the Man and Janelle Monae are also on the lineup.

The bill also includes more than half a dozen artists who performed at the original 1969 festival, including Santana, John Sebastian, CSNY's David Crosby, John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Melanie, Country Joe McDonald and Canned Heat.

The event will take place between 16-18 August in Watkins Glen, in upstate New York. It will follow the theme of "equality, inclusion and a shared sustainable future", and partner with several organisations to bring attention to important causes and issues.

"It's no one age group or genre, it's not monolithic – anyone who loves music and loves love would enjoy this," hip hop artist Common said.

The original Woodstock featured performances from Jimi Hendrix, Joan Baez, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and many others.
