
A WOMAN will face court in October after allegedly defrauding a Hunter business more than a quarter of a million dollars.
Police arrested the 45-year-old at Raymond Terrace police station on Thursday following extensive inquiries.
It is alleged the woman, who worked at the Thornton business at the time, stole more than $250,000 between June 2012 and May last year.
Police will allege the Woodberry woman transferred $288,812 from the business account to a number of personal bank accounts.
She has been charged with 25 counts of obtain benefit by deception.
The 45-year-old received strict conditional bail and will face Maitland Local Court on October 11.
