Wood has won a $42m engineering contract from international energy company Equinor on behalf of operator Gassco for the Kollsnes gas processing plant in Norway.
The Aberdeen-based group will provide engineering, procurement, construction and installation) services to the plant in Øygarden to the west of Bergen.
The contract will see Wood strengthen its onshore execution capabilities in Norway with the delivery of the Kollsnes MEG Upgrade (KMU) project, which includes an extension of the fourth MEG train at the plant, following the successful completion of earlier work there.
It will be delivered by Wood's engineering team in Norway with subcontractor Kvaerner delivering construction work at the Stord Yard.

The Kollsnes MEG Upgrade project is scheduled for completion in 2023.
The Kollsnes gas plant processes gas from the Troll, Kvitebjørn, Visund and Fram fields.
Gassco operates the Kollsnes facility and Equinor is the technical services provider.
