Wood Green shooting: Woman, 46, left fighting for life after double attack

A woman is fighting for her life following a double shooting in north London.

The 46-year-old was gunned down in Lordship Lane, Wood Green, at around 9.50pm.

She was rushed to hospital where her condition is described as critical.

A 31-year-old man suffered a less serious gunshot injury. There have been no arrests.

A Met Police spokesperson said at the time: "Cordons are in place at the scene.

"There has been no arrest at this stage.

"Witnesses can call police on 101 quoting ref 7704/sep17.

"To remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

The double shooting comes 12 hours after a 33-year-old man was shot a mile away in Lansdowne Road, Northumberland Park.

Police have not linked the two incidents.
