A new wood-fired pizza pop-up is set to bring a lot of joy to tummies and tastebuds in the south side of Glasgow.
Muckle Backit Oven will soon be opening up shop at Park Lane Market in Shawlands, serving up their Neapolitan-style pizzas with an LA/NYC twist at the market every first and last Sunday of the month.
The wood-fired specialists on wheels have become a firm favourite with locals in the Arbroath and wider Angus area over the past few years it seems - and with good reason judging by the menu.
Some of the mouthwatering pizzas they've fired up recently include the 'Guilty Pleasure' (with tomato sauce, parmesan, dried oregano, fior di latte mozzarella, garlic, hand cut pepperoni and finished with their own chilli honey) and the 'Oor Kin' with Roast crown prince pumpkin, cavolo nero, fior di latte mozzarella and finished with spiced toasted walnuts, pomegranate and a yoghurt and feta sauce.
Muckle Backit Oven will also be popping-up at more spots in Glasgow in the future too thankfully, which, by the looks of how tasty their pizzas look, is good news for the non southsiders among us.
