Wonderkid has a five-word social media message as he travels to the UK to link up with Arsenal

It appears that 16-year-old midfielder Catalin Carjan is on his way to link up with Arsenal, if his latest social media post is to be believed.

Back in August, as reported by football.london , the then 15 year-old confirmed that he would be joining the Gunners after his 16th birthday in December.

"I will sign when I’m 16," he told Romanian outlet Digi Sport (via the Metro ).

"They’ve been watching me for more matches and that was it – after that they sent me the tickets to go to them.

"They told me that I was a good player and that they wanted [me] to go to the big team in two years."

In January, the young Romanian seemed to again confirm his move to the Emirates by changing his profile picture on Instagram to one of him in front of the Arsenal badge.

The attacking midfielder's move now appears to have taken another step in the right direction. With the player posting a picture of himself at the airport with the hashtag reading 'NEWCHAPTER' on his Instagram stories .

The same picture, with a message reading 'New chapter in my life' was also posted on his Instagram timeline. It has since been deleted, but not before some Arsenal fans were able to notice the post and grab a screenshot.

Carjan joins the Gunners from Romanian side Viitorul Domnesti, and is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in his home country.

The 16-year-old will go into the youth teams at the Emirates, but will be hoping to make more of an impact that his fellow Romanian Vlad Dragomir who left London for Serie B side Perugia in August.
