'Wonderful mother' killed in motorbike crash in Port Talbot

A tribute has been paid to a "wonderful mother" killed in a motorbike crash in Port Talbot this weekend.

Police have named the woman as Jacqueline Coyne Poole.

Harbour Way was  closed for several hours  as a result of the crash which happened at 4.15pm on Sunday, May 12, and was attended by the Wales Air Ambulance.

Ms Poole, 44, died at the scene of the collision and her family have issued a statement via South Wales Police .

What you should do if you witness a crash:

It said: “Jackie was a wonderful mother to Conor, partner to Martin and special daughter to Pamela.

"Jackie will be greatly missed not only by her family but the many friends that she easily made, due to her friendly, warm, and compassionate nature. 

"She will be missed by so many people.

"She made a big impact during her working years in the care profession, looking after elderly people and more recently in retail, where she enjoyed meeting new and regular customers on a daily basis.”

Wales Air Ambulance responded to the crash in Port Talbot (Ian Cooper)

The collision involved a black coloured Yamaha motorcycle which was travelling easterly along Harbour Way.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or who may have seen the motorcycle travelling along the A4241 Afan Way immediately prior to the crash, to contact 101 quoting reference number 1900170002.
