Women tweet questions about their vaginas to US governor after anti-abortion bill

Women are taking to Twitter to vent their frustration at a new anti-abortion bill signed by the Republican governor of Kentucky.

Matt Bevin has signed a bill which makes it compulsory for women who wish to access a termination to have a face-to-face consultation (either in person or by video chat) at least 24 hours before the procedure.

The bill has been criticised by opponents who say that it is designed to “bully, shame and humiliate women”.

Mr Bevin signed the bill at a pro-life rally on Thursday.

In response, Twitter user Molly Shah suggested: “since Matt Bevin has so many opinions on my uterus, I have some Obgyn questions to ask him.” She invited other women to join her using the hashtag #askbevinaboutmyvag

Questions for the politician quickly flooded in.

Mr Bevin has so far declined to respond to any of the women.
