Women throw punches in vicious brawl that delays flight as stewardess calls for help

Two young women got into a heated brawl before boarding a plane - delaying the flight by 40 minutes.

The passengers, believed to be related, are captured in dramatic video viciously fighting on the corridor of the departure gate at New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Sunday.

They grapple with each other against a wall before pulling each other down to the floor.

The pair punch and grab at each other - and one appears to have the other in a headlock as other passengers stand and watch in utter shock.

Off-screen, someone can be heard saying, “Come get Aaliyah, she’s fighting,” before a man and woman approach the pair.

A flight attendant appears to be calling for help through a microphone connected to her uniform.

Another passenger, Destiny Davis, who captured the footage, told Storyful she thought the two who were fighting were related, “either cousins or sisters”.

"[Police] led them out in a peaceful manner but the plane was delayed by almost 30-40 minutes and we had to wait for them to find the luggage of the two passengers before leaving."

It is unclear what the women were fighting about but reports said police were called to the gate.

A spokeswoman for Delta told Mirror Online: "I can confirm flight 1600 from LGA to ATL was delayed due to a customer issue."
