A woman got herself into hot water with a judge after attempting to a sue a man who didn't turn up to their date.
QaShontae Short was furious after her romantic night with Richard Jordan ended in disappointment when he didn't show.
The pair arranged to go out back in the summer of 2020, but he had to pull out after making the plans with her online.
The woman, from Michigan, US, launched a lawsuit and tried to win $10,000 (£8,300) in compensation. She accusing him of 'intentional infliction of emotional distress' caused by the ill-fated date.
Legal documents allege that the man intentionally hurt her feelings when he “did not show and left her on her mother’s birthday and [her] mom had just passed away.”

Mrs short was demanding Jordan pay her the sum to make up for the “distress” caused, TMZ report.
By the judge took a dim view during the pair’s 10-minute virtual hearing.
Judge Herman Marable said that the lawsuit was a waste of the court’s time as the bizarre case quickly turned into an ill-tempered slanging match.
She then argued that the accused Mr Jordan was committing “perjury” as a result of a misleading statement he put on a document.
The judge stopped her and reminded her that perjury can only occur in a courtroom because it’s committed under oath.

“He put a document that stated a lie,” she yelled.
But the judge told her: “Bottom line - you said it was a criminal offence so I will send it to circuit court. Are we done here? Are we done here? I know exactly what perjury means.”
But Short was not done and refused to accept what she was hearing.
“Please do not insult my intelligence,” she told him sharply. “Do not do that. Do not insult my intelligence as if I do not understand what the word perjury means.
"Do not! If it’s a criminal offence then it’s a criminal offence.”
Fed up Judge Marable Jr. eventually transferred the case over to a circuit court, which means the will have to appear in front of another judge at a later date.
