Women's World Cup final referee Stephanie Frappart set to officiate Dundalk v Linfield decider

Women's World Cup final referee Stephanie Frappart will take charge of next month’s second-leg decider between Dundalk and Linfield.

The French native was also in charge of the men’s UEFA Super Cup final between Liverpool and Chelsea.

And her team from that game in Istanbul - Ireland’s Michelle O’Neill and Manuela Nicolosi of France - will assist her at Oriel Park.

League of Ireland champions Dundalk meet their Irish League counterparts Linfield in the inaugural, two-legged ‘Unite the Union’ cup final.

Windsor Park in Belfast will host the first-leg on Friday, November 8 before the return at Oriel Park on Monday, November 11th.

The winner pockets €50,000 with €25,000 for the loser.  A further €25,000 will be ring-fenced for community-based projects in the Dundalk and Belfast areas.
