England take on Argentina in the second of match of their World Cup campaign as they bid to maintain their winning record in France.
Phil Neville’s side held on against Scotland for a 2-1 win in Nice last Sunday, with Nikita Parris and Ellen White grabbing the goals in the Group D clash.
Victory against Argentina in Le Havre would see England close in on qualification from a competitive group that also includes Japan.
This is Argentina’s first appearance at the Women’s World Cup since 2007.
They held Japan to a surprising 0-0 draw in their opening game of the tournament.
Prediction: England 2-0 Argentina
The Argentine underdogs showed their spirit in holding Japan, who beat England in the semi-finals four years ago, to a 0-0 draw. Neville’s women will be under no illusions that they’ll have a fight on their hands in Le Havre on Friday night. Patience and persistence will be key. An early goal would no doubt settle the nerves but the longer the match drags on without a breakthrough, the more vulnerable England may become. Having said that, they demonstrated their experience and maturity in keeping Scotland at bay after their late goal on Sunday. England to win 2-0, but it’s going to require a lot of hard work.

Team news
Both Toni Duggan and Demi Stokes are likely to be in contention. After suffering a thigh injury before the Scotland win, Duggan sat out the game on the subs bench. Stokes, meanwhile, has been struggling with a recent knee problem but took part in full training on Wednesday afternoon.
Defender Millie Bright picked up a shoulder injury during Sunday’s match but Neville said he would be “very surprised” if she was unavailable to face Argentina.
