Women’s hoops fan Lil Wayne offers advice to Angel Reese about the pressures of stardom

Angel Reese has to maintain a high level of play if LSU wants to repeat as NCAA champions. Rapper Lil Wayne, a Louisiana native, has advice for the “Bayou Barbie” as she and the Lady Tigers navigate their way back to greatness.

Reese is a celebrated household name, but that hasn’t come without pressure and scrutiny. From her troll of Caitlin Clark to her mental-health reset to start this season, the 6-foot-3 forward has experienced a lot in a calendar year.

Hoops fan and Rapper Lil Wayne knows something about being young and in the spotlight from his early days with Cash Money Records, where he rose to fame before he was 18. As such, he’s made it a point to impart wisdom to Reese about what comes with being in the spotlight.

In a recent interview with Taylor Rooks and Bleacher Report, Wayne doubled down on supporting women’s hoops and offered Angel some advice for the days ahead. (See 43:41 mark.)
