Women on Universal Credit have been left so desperate that they're selling sex for just £5.
MPs have been warned that women are turning to prostitution to survive due to the five-week wait for the benefits to be paid.
A government inquiry by the work and pensions committee has found a "fundamental design flaw" in the system.
The committee is now urging the government to remove the five-week wait at the be ginning of their claim.
One woman affected by Universal Credit told Sky News she is contemplating going back on the streets.
She said: "In the last six months my life has gone down the drain.

"I had got out of prostitution. I got help to apply for benefits and was just about managing, then I was moved over to Universal Credit.
"I got less money but I was still managing, then I got a letter in the post saying that I was no longer entitled to Universal Credit because I was an EU citizen and I had to apply for settled status."
She added that it was impossible to live with no money, and she felt she had no choice but to sell herself.
