Women injured after 'disturbance' on Glasgow street

A Glasgow street was sealed off last night after two women were injured in a 'disturbance'.

The women, aged 45 and 46, were found with injuries around Closeburn Street in the Possil area.

Emergency services raced to the scene at around 7.30pm and police tape was put up to close the street off.

Officers and police vehicles were seen in the area.

Minor injuries were reported and the women declined medical attention at the scene.

Cops have now launched a probe to find out exactly what has happened.

A Police Scotland spokesman said they were looking to 'establish the full circumstances' of the incident.

The spokesman said: “We were called around 7.30pm on Thursday, 24 September, to a report of a disturbance in the Closeburn Street area of Glasgow.

“Two women, one aged 45 and one aged 46, sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened.”
