Gay has 22 years experience in PR. After selling eurobonds to fund managers for 5 years at Merrill Lynch and at Dean Witter in London and New York she moved into PR and has specialised in advising companies in the asset management space ever since. She has built up extensive contacts and is experienced in all aspects of corporate work.

In 1998 Gay co-founded Penrose Financial and built It into a £4m turnover business which was acquired by Engine in 2010. When Penrose, Mandate and Hogarth merged she moved from being CEO to Executive Chairman.

Gay is on the Steering Committee of the 30% Club, aimed at increasing female Board representation, and is a Non Executive Director of JP Morgan Overseas Investment Trust plc.
