
PROFESSOR Kerryn Phelps AM will be the speaker at Newcastle's sold-out International Women's Day (IWD) Breakfast, to be held today at Wests City.
The theme of Equal Futures Project's (EFP) 10th annual IWD breakfast is 'A 2020 Vision: Reflecting on the past and what we can achieve for diversity this decade'. EFP chair Dr Kirsten Molloy said the organisation "champions diversity and equity and wants to give equality of opportunity to everyone".
Nova For Women and Children will also hold its breakfast today at Merewether Surfhouse, with speakers Catherine Britt, Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes and RAAF pilot Carlene Heise. Hunter Valley Grammar will host its first IWD breakfast with speaker Catherine Minifie. Tonight, the Women's Network Hunter NSW will announce Maitland's Woman of the Year and the Union of Australian Women will host its annual dinner.
