Women arrested after police follow car and make discovery

Two woman have been arrested on drug offences, after police followed a car into a housing estate.

Officers on patrol, on Page Moss Lane, Huyton, followed a car onto a nearby estate in the early hours of the morning on Friday, July 8. They then spotted a woman walking away from the car and carried out a stop search.

Class A drugs and a large amount of cash was found when police searched her. A 37-year-old woman was arrested.

Following the arrest another search was carried out at a property in Huyton and officers recovered a large quantity of suspected drugs and drugs paraphernalia together with a multiple sim cards. A second woman, 39, who was in the property, was also detained.

The 37-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (heroin, cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine) and possession of methylamphetamine. While the 39-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply methylamphetamine, possession of a Class A drug (cocaine) and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (heroin) and Class B drugs (cannabis).
