Police in Renfrew are investigating after two men attempted to snatch a bag off a woman who was walking with a young child.
The 40-year-old was walking through a lane between Nethergreen Wynd and Robertson Drive in the Kirklandneuk area of the town at around 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
She walked past two men, who then tried to grab her handbag which she had on her shoulder.
There was a struggle and the men made off empty handed.

The woman was unhurt but shaken by the icident.
