A woman who got a dragon tattoo on her back ended up with a yellowy mess after failing to follow aftercare advice.
Jackie Florez showed off the dragon design with a lotus flower before sharing snaps from her holiday in Cancun, Mexico.
While she was enjoying the holiday hotspot, she appeared to pay little attention to her fresh tattoo as she sunbathed and swam in the sea.
However, she soon found that exposing new tattoos to direct sunlight can result in the ink fading.
Jackie shared how she had to revisit the tattoo studio to get a protective layer across the design on her back.
It appears her efforts came too late as the next image shows her back had puffed into a horribly yellow mess.
She wrote in the caption: "It just needs a little shaping."
Viewers were left scratching their heads asking Jackie to explain what had happened.
Some tattoo fans suggested in the comments that the dressing was there to heal and soak up any discharge.

One said: "It is literally just a patch that helps it heal faster, it's a hydrocolloid bandaid."
A second wrote: "It’s a hydrocolloid patch. This is normal. It absorbs drainage and creates a moist environment for healing."
However, some slammed Jackie for not taking care of the tattoo, as one said: "I just could never understand wanting a tattoo, getting it done, and then paying for it, just so it can purposely fade and one day be gone completely."
Last month, we reported how a tattoo artist misspelt a word while inking a client.
She was left red-faced when she realised she'd made a massive error when inking a simple two-word phrase onto a client's ribs, and had to think on her feet to fix the tattoo and keep the customer happy.
Emily McCollum, 20, was tattooing the words "divine feminine" when her dyslexia got the better of her and she noticed she'd actually written "femimne" instead.
And rather than leave her client with misspelt ink, Emily decided to fix the mistake by inking a red rose behind the part of the word she had spelt wrong - covering up the error and adding an extra touch to the tattoo.
