We might be well into the 21st century, but in 2022 it can't be denied that overall, women do more housework than men.
A study by UCL three years ago revealed that for a straight couple in full time employment, the woman was five times more likely to do 20 hours of chores each week.
And if you feel your partner isn't pulling their weight, it can be incredibly frustrating to get home from a long day of work to find you still have to cook dinner, iron and take the bins out.
One woman who reckons her fiancé isn't doing his bit has come up with a genius solution to make him realise how much she does around the house, Grazia reports.

Posting on Reddit, she explained: "[My fiancé] was a self-admitted mama’s boy and went directly from his parents’ house to our shared home."
After the pair moved in together, it wasn't long before his untidy habits began to get on her nerves and after three weeks she confronted him.
However, she claims her confused beau was struck by her accusation that he's messy and insisted she was mistaken.
After the pair argued over the issue, the woman's fiancé came up with an idea to prove himself - they would split the house and each take responsibility for cleaning one half.
The woman decided to take his offer literally - and got out her masking tape.
She then used the tape to divide every single room in the house right down the middle - including the fridge and the kitchen counters.
After her fiancé initially suggested splitting the cleaning duties for two months, the woman decided just one was enough to prove her point.
Unsurprisingly, the fiancé's side of the house fell into a bad state very quickly.
The woman wrote: ‘Not even a week in and his half looked like a pigsty."
She added she made some exceptions to her rule and cleaned the toilet and the shower throughout the month, which were technically on her fiancé's side.
"I was not about to use a filthy bathroom to make a point," she explained.
The woman claimed that when the month-long experiment was up, her fiancé saw the light and couldn't deny that she does significantly more housework than him.
She said he bought her flowers and chocolate and apologised for his behaviour - and then started learning how to be a responsible adult.
And eight years on, it seems like the experiment worked wonders as the pair are still together and about to get married - with the woman describing her beau as "an amazing man."
