Her condition was stabilized at Mount Sinai Hospital.

A woman crashed her vehicle after suffering a gunshot wound Friday in Austin on the West Side.

The 22-year-old said she was in a vehicle about 10:35 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Van Buren Street when someone opened fire, Chicago police said. She drove off and crashed the vehicle a couple of blocks away when she realized she was hit in the knee.

The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where her condition was stabilized, police said.

No arrests have been made as Area North detectives are investigating.
