Woman who was hit by lorry in hospital with serious leg injuries

An elderly woman remains in hospital after she was was hit by a wagon at a Merseyside retail park.

Merseyside Police attended Aintree Retail Park after reports a woman had been hit by a lorry on Thursday October 21.

The woman, now confirmed to be in her 80s, was rushed to hospital with a leg injury following the incident.

The park was quickly cordoned off, with the HGV driver stopping at the scene.

It has now been confirmed that the woman remains at hospital due to serious injuries to her legs.

She is currently in a stable condition.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson told the ECHO : "The woman who is in her 80s is in a stable condition and remains in hospital where she is receiving treatment for serious injuries to her legs."
