Woman who stabbed and threw boiling water over victim during live-broadcasted attack jailed

A woman who carried out a violent assault in East Dulwich has been jailed.

On February 2, Princess Owusu-Ansah, 18, of Royston, Hertfordshire entered the home of her victim.

She then proceeded to stab and pour boiling water over the victim during the violent assault.

The victim was taken to hospital where their injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

The harrowing assault was broadcast live on social media while sentimental items belonging to the victim were also damaged.

Owusu-Ansah pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent and criminal damage at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on March 6.

She was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment at the same court on May 9.

DC Abigail Ellyatt from Central South Command Unit said: “I hope this result brings the victim some comfort in knowing this violent offender has been brought to justice, and I admire the strength and courage she has shown throughout.”
