A woman who reported a “serious sexual allegation” to police was later discovered dead at her home.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary officers found the body of Naomi Readman at her home in Gerard Road, Weston-super-Mare, on March 14.
An inquest into the death of the 42-year-old opened at Avon Coroner’s Court on April 3.
The coroner’s officer said he had requested a report from a police officer who had dealt with a “serious sexual allegation” reported by Ms Readman.
“It is not yet clear whether this was relevant to her death,” he added.

Ms Readman was confirmed dead at 6am on March 14, having “been dead for some time”, the coroner’s officer said.
She was known to the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP), but her case was not open at the time of her death.
“It may be suggested by the family the mental health services have failed her in some way,” the coroner’s officer said.
“She had a delusional belief she had been stalked and someone was entering her home at night.
“She cancelled numerous appointments and did not engage with services because she did not believe she needed help.
“She blamed social services for removing her son from her care.”
