Woman who created fake account to catfish boyfriend left shocked by what he said

A woman who created a fake online account to test her boyfriend's loyalty was shocked when he pretended she had died while chatting to the decoy profile.

Akosuah May, a nurse from Accra in Ghana, set up the page after becoming suspicious her partner was cheating on her.

Writing on Twitter , she said: "I created a fake account and started chatting my boyfriend, he told me his girlfriend just died two months ago."

The post has since gone viral, gaining over 156,000 likes and hundreds of comments as users slam her for trying to lie to her boyfriend in the first place.

One user wrote: "A lie got you a lie. You're even."

Meanwhile, one added: "This is a lie. Men don't cheat! It's you who was cheating for pretending to be someone else!"

Another said: 'Thank God he acknowledged you to an extent. Some will say they don't have at all."

However, some claimed that he may have been talking about another woman he was with.

One wrote: "Plot twist: maybe he wasn't talking about you."

Another added: "Well, maybe she died two months ago, how are you so sure he’s referring to you."
