A woman said she begged her local council to fix her property's roof for six years before it caved in earlier this month.
Yvonne Cochrane, 50, has lived in a flat in Glenburn Crescent, Paisley, Renfrewshire, for 17 years.
She is a Renfrewshire Council tenant along with one other resident of the four-in-a-block, the Daily Record reports.
Yvonne, who has epilepsy and the lung condition COPD, said a roof tile blew off the rear of the building six years ago, but the council did not repair it as they could not agree on a price with the two private owners.
However, Renfrewshire Council said it responded to all the roof repairs reported by the tenant and completed work to fix them.

Yvonne said that as years passed the damage worsened, causing the ceiling to collapse and land on her bed.
Due to the issue, water has also been getting into the building, the woman said.
Yvonne said the property's issue has been causing problems for her health, as she explained: "The water is all coming in from the gutter, it’s never been cleared. There are big cracks right down the building.

"The roof tile came off six years ago above the back bedroom. I was told I couldn’t get a replacement because the neighbours wouldn’t pay for it.
"The walls are wet and it’s not good for my health, my breathing is affected. The ceiling came right down and landed on my bed."
Yvonne phoned Renfrewshire Council on October 30 when the ceiling caved in.
She claimed she was told an inspector would visit the property on November 25.

The resident explained: "They said that’s the first appointment they’ve got.
"If they'd replaced the missing tile six years ago this wouldn’t have happened.
"I’ve just had enough of this. They have to give me a new roof or a new house."
A Renfrewshire Council spokesperson said: "We have responded to all roof repairs reported by this tenant and completed works to repair them. We received a report of water ingress in 2013 and emergency repairs were carried out at that time.
"There were no further reports of any issues until 2019 when works to repair leaking gutters were carried out.
"In relation to the incident on 30 October 2021, our housing repairs team responded immediately when the incident was reported to us and an emergency roof repair was carried out on 3 November.
"The tenant has been advised a repairs officer is attending on 25 November to inspect the ceiling damage and arrange for the internal repairs and can also consider the guttering issue raised by the tenant, who can contact our customer service centre for further advice and assistance."
