A 30-year-old woman just tried a Big Mac for the first time in her life, and the internet can’t stop talking about it. TikToker Sivan Natalie shared a video on October 22, 2025, showing her first bite of the famous McDonald’s burger while she was 13 weeks pregnant. Her honest review split people online, but the real drama wasn’t about what she thought of the taste.
In the TikTok video, Sivan said she had no real reason for finally trying the burger after 30 years. “I don’t know what inspired this, literally there’s no rhyme or reason,” she explained. Before eating it, she was worried about the meat, saying “this is not real meat.” After taking a few bites, she wasn’t impressed. “It tastes synthetic, you know what I mean?” she said. She admitted it wasn’t terrible, but if she had to pick between a Big Mac and In-N-Out, McDonald’s wouldn’t win.
People in the comments had strong feelings about her review. Many thought she was being too harsh. One person, Big Miss Steak, wrote “Babe don’t play us – you know it was good.” Sivan replied that for most people, the Big Mac is probably just a childhood memory thing. Someone else called her “a party pooper.” But some people agreed with her. A few users said they’d never tried a Big Mac either, including one person who was 29 and another who was 36.
Turns out everyone’s been thinking the same thing about Big Mac sizes
The real fight in the comments wasn’t about taste at all. People got worked up over how big Sivan’s Big Mac looked in the video. “My Big Mac is never that big wth,” one user named Victoria wrote. Another person said, “Girl the Big Macs back in the day were much bigger, you would’ve been shook.”
This kicked off a bigger conversation about whether Big Macs have gotten smaller over time. Plenty of customers say the burgers are definitely smaller now than they used to be. Some remember needing both hands to hold one. A Reddit user asked in January 2024 if Big Macs had shrunk. Lots of people agreed, with one saying, “A few of their burgers definitely have over time and the main one is the Big Mac.” Similar complaints about everyday frustrations have been going viral across social media lately.
But McDonald’s says that’s not true. A company spokesperson told Yahoo News Australia that burger sizes haven’t changed at all. They said the company cares about giving customers good quality and good value. Looking at McDonald’s own nutrition facts from different years, the Big Mac has stayed pretty much the same weight, going between 7.4 and 7.6 ounces since 2008.
Some people think the Big Mac just looks smaller now because other burgers have gotten bigger. Many restaurants and pubs now serve burgers with 6-ounce patties, which makes the Big Mac seem tiny next to them. Even though McDonald’s keeps saying nothing has changed, people keep posting on social media about how portions at fast food places seem smaller than they remember.
