A woman managed to completely revamp a battered old sofa she picked up free on Facebook for just £30.
Sharing her work on the DIY on a Budget page, she explained exactly how she pulled it off.
First, she found the oxblood Chesterfield available free, but it was in a bit of a state - faded in some places and missing patches of leather entirely in others.
But it was such a fine piece, she decided to try something out.
“First time trying this and so pleased how it turned out," she posted.
“I loved the original colour but it didn't go with the colour scheme in our new place and it needed sorting out anyway due to wear and tear.”

She spent £15 pounds on grey leather paint, and another £15 on paint sealer, and got busy.
Picking up both on eBay, she applied them to the sofa with stunning results.
And her finished work drew serious praise online - accumulating thousands of likes and hundreds of comments.

“That look amazing” said a different poster said, with another adding: “What a great job you’ve made of it, love it.”
