With all of us penny pinching at the moment, people are coming up with innovative ways to use one product for multiple needs.
Beauty products tend to be one of the most sought after replacements with people using fake tan to fill in brows and pickle juice for skincare, with varying success rates.
One woman baffled TikTok with her unusual use for dry shampoo, which is usually reserved for refreshing hair.
Instead @i.am.hailey1 shared how she uses the product to help her dermaplane her face, calling it the "best life hack" - but commenters strongly disagreed, worrying about Hails' skin.

"POV: you started using dry shampoo to shave your face and never turned back," she wrote in her viral TikTok which now has 8.8 million views.
Hails silently sprays a beard onto her face using a dark coloured dry shampoo before stretching her skin and shaving the area with a dermaplaning razor, showing the results with black still around her nose and hairline.
Dermaplaning is a technique to remove hair and dead skin cells from your face, refreshing the skin and said to give a healthy glow. Usually people cleanse their face before shaving but Hails adds this extra - and odd - step to her routine.
"Bestie there's gotta be better ways," commented one person, while another added: "Girl you can use aloe vera I don't think this is the best for your skin."
A beautician said: "I am an esthetician. I do not recommend doing this. What so ever."
"Can you explain why this would in any way help you shave your face?" asked a fourth baffled viewer.
It's not just viewers advising against the hack, as beauty expert and Smooth Appeal ambassador, Hilary Hepburn, shared: "This is one of the more unusual facial hair removal hacks I have seen on TikTok, and something I would urge users to steer well clear of.
"Our skin absorbs everything that goes on it, and recently some dry shampoos have been shown to contain carcinogens which are substances capable of causing cancer. You should not be putting this anywhere near your face.
"Not only that - a product like dry shampoo will clog pores, cause irritation and breakouts, and could flare allergies. With sustained use of such a technique, your skin barrier will be destroyed, and it could even lead to scarring as not handling a dermaplane tool properly can lead to micro tears, which will absorb the product further, creating possible infection."
Anyone who wants to dermaplane at home, Hilary recommends using aloe vera gel or a gentle oil like JoJoba to help the blade glide easily across the skin.
Make sure you're using a specialist dermaplaning tool and use a new one every time you shave to avoid breakouts, bacteria contamination and irritation.
Hilary added: "There are lots of different ways you can remove hair more effectively from the face. One that is probably the easiest, most effective, and gives longest lasting results for an at-home option is waxing.
"A lot of people might be scared to do their own waxing, especially on their face, but it really isn't as scary as it might sound. It's a great option for those who want less maintenance in their routine and don’t have as much time to spend every few days/weeks shaving, plucking."
