Woman uses amazing life hack to transform her home with free wallpaper samples

A woman has shared her ingenious way to revamp all the rooms in her room for the price of an wooden frame.

Donna Taylor has told fellow 'Life Hackers' her trick she has recently used and now others are getting involved too.

Responding to another user's post on the Extreme Budget DIY & Life Hacks Facebook page, 33-year-old Donna quickly shared photos of her idea.

The original poster asked for help to decorate her baby boy's bedroom on a tight budget.

And while others suggested browsing images on Pinterest, and other shared pictures of their own children's bedroooms.

But helpful Donna from Staffordshire spoke up too.

She had recently moved in with her partner Mathew and his two children and uses the £5 frames to brighten the rooms.

She said: "My new thing is framing wallpaper.

"Cheap frames from IKEA and then wallpaper samples from wherever I spot them.

"Easily changed with colour schemes too. I've done loads..."

She added photos of space wallpaper framed in a child's bedroom, yellows and greys to match her living room colours and some flowers for her bathroom.

And since her first piece of advice, others including those renting homes, have sought Donna out for help on getting the right look.

Donna told Mirror Online: "I moved in with my partner recently and we wanted to redecorate.

"I was dead set on having flamingo wallpaper in the downstairs toilet but once you've wallpapered a wall, you kind of have to wallpaper it forever.

"So my partner wasn't keen.

"When I found a wallpaper I liked, I thought I'd get one up on him by being a bit clever and still getting my wallpaper, but in a way that didn't ruin the walls!

"I'd got an old large black frame from IKEA so I measured it and went and ripped enough off a sample roll. It took literally five minutes to frame and hang it."

She added: "A few weeks later when I couldn't find the right canvas print I wanted for my step daughters bedroom, I improvised again with wallpaper.

"And then got a bit carried away and have them all over the house now."
