Woman under investigation following spate of thefts from vehicles in Warmley

A woman has been arrested and released under investigation following a number of thefts from vehicles in the Warmley area.

The alarm was raised at 4.30am yesterday (April 14) when two people were seen acting suspiciously around Poplar Road in North Common.

They were both spotted approaching vehicles and trying doors.

Shortly afterwards, police arrested a woman in nearby Windermere Lane on suspicion of theft from motor vehicles.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "Police enquiries into the incident are continuing.

"We would like to hear from anyone living in the North Common area, whose vehicle has been broken into over the weekend to contact us, quoting reference 5219081042."
