Woman trying to sell dress on Facebook flooded with 'creepy' messages from men

A new mum innocently tried to advertise a two-piece orange outfit on Facebook marketplace, only to receive a wave of uncalled-for messages from 'creepy' men in her DMs.

April, 24, had hoped to sell the set on Facebook, and included a snap of herself wearing it while cradling her baby bump.

April had wanted to show what the outfit was like, to give any potential buyers an idea of whether they might like it or not.

Unfortunately, the upload led to her receiving lewd messages from those who used the post as an excuse to pester her with questions that had absolutely nothing to do with the item in question.

Taking to TikTok, April shared some of the inappropriate responses she received, with one would-be customer querying, 'do you come with the dress?'

Another man simply commented 'Hi' with a string of love heart eyes, while another remarked, 'Nice dress to impress'.

The ad was eyeballed by more than 15,080 people, a fact highlighted by April in the clip.

The exasperated DJ, who lives in Australia, sighed: "These men are just too much. I am literally pregnant here hahahaha".

A number of followers could relate all too well to April's plight, with many agreeing it was the 'creeps' who were the problem, not her.

One sympathetic woman commented: "I remember listing something and someone asking if I would sell my underwear I was selling plushies like omg"

Another person empathised: "I’ve had the same thing happen lol, I just wanted a sell a dress!"

Unfortunately, there were those who insinuated April's ad wasn't quite as innocent as she'd made out, arguing that she surely must have known what sort of comments she'd get.

Blasting those who took this view, April declared: "To y’all getting nasty: I am 100% certain that when you online shop… you look at models wearing the clothes… to show you WHAT THE OUTFIT LOOKS LIKE."
